With all that’s going ‘wrong’ with climate change in government offices, I really wanted to showcase the amazing work Peace Corps Environment volunteers do, not only for their communities but for the world. These 4 highlighted volunteers are amazing. And we have a ton of more posts this month (compared to last month) from Job & Career posts to some just for “fun”. I hope you enjoy the newsletter and comment if you have any suggestions for upcoming topics and posts.

Announcement: Self-Care Saturday’s
As I’ve grown as a PCV and the more I try to share with my fellow volunteers, I realize that Self-Care is very important. So, I’ve decided to schedule posts on “Self-Care Saturday”. For most PCVs, Saturday is a day off from our programs (but not from the housework, etc), so it’s a good time to focus more on taking care of ourselves so we can keep doing the amazing job we do on the other days. What do you think?
Along those lines, I’ll be posting Job & Career posts on Monday, How To’s on Friday, and Sunday is reserved for “Fun” posts.

Peace Corps Environment Volunteers share powerful Earth Day stories about working with communities to protect nature and build a greener, healthier future.

More PCV Interviews from Around the World
Like these PCVs, if you’re interested in sharing your story, close to or past your Mid-Service, message me and I’ll send you the questions (it’s a written interview) and more info about the project.

Personal Update
April brought its fair share of challenges. The weather stayed cold and rainy - typical for the mountains, but still not my favorite. I spent a lot of time in Yerevan for medical tests and dental appointments as part of the clearance process for my third-year extension (good news - I got cleared!). I missed being with my students during that time, but it feels great to have that step finished.
Training for a 5k race in May has been tough, but I’m sticking with it. Slow progress is still progress!
The month ended on a real high note with the newest group of TEFL volunteers doing their practicum week at my school. The students had a blast working with them, and it was awesome to see how much everyone learned. Wishing the new volunteers all the best as they continue their journey!
