Personal Update
Like many volunteers, September was the start of my new school year. And like last year, these first weeks were a little chaotic. Although I’m working with the same amazing co-teachers, Lucine and Mary, schedule and curriculum changes have added a few challenges. But I’m still excited. I have a whole new batch of 3rd graders who are just as amazing as last year’s.
And just today, I started my after-school English clubs focusing more on the lower grades. I’ve actually increased the number of hours I work with remedial students, including a small group of transfer students who have no English background. Really hoping the extra effort will help these students catch up to their peers and make English more fun for them.
Hopefully next month I can give you an update on my grant project for several multimedia carts to enhance English instruction at the school. And I’m sure there will be other interesting things happening to share with you.
So, you can find more about my day-to-day life at my Substack Armenia Blog
Be safe, be healthy, be happy - and I looking forward to sharing more next month!
