It’s been a hot summer everywhere! How is it where you’re at? I’m extending a 3rd year, so took some time to go back to the US. But I wasn’t ready for the high temps and high humidity of the Midwest! In this issue we finally highlight one of the PCV run publications, PeaceWorks by the good folks serving in Morocco. More intervews, and a repeat of how to use a drybag as a kettlebell. Enjoy!

PeaceWorks Is Showing The Way For PCV-Run Publications
Created by Peace Corps Volunteers in Morocco, this digital magazine gives PCVs a space to share art, stories, and ideas—entirely volunteer-run from start to finish. ✍️🌍This post walks you through how it started, how it’s structured, and how you can build something similar in your host country.

Personal Update
At the end of May, said goodbye to most of my cohort. Wishing them safe travels and good luck with their future jobs and careers. And mid-June, I flew back to the US on a PC-paid for annual leave. I missed my brothers and relatives but oh boy, coming back to this heat and humidity was not something I was prepared for. Trying to relax, pick up a few things to take back, and generally act like a tourist in my hometown, Kansas City. I figure it will be nice to share pictures with my friends and community back in Armenia. Headed back to Armenia in mid-July and then will work on my grant project, hoping to be done as school starts in September. More details to come!!
